Salman Khan starrer 'Race 3' reportedly bags the highest satellite rights for a Bollywood film
Salman Khan's upcoming film 'Race 3' has created a good amount of buzz among the audience. The trailer and the songs has already received a good response from the audience. Well, apart from this the movie is also looked up by the fans as it marks the comeback on Bobby Deol. The actor in the past few years had not been part of any big-budget film and has worked a lot for 'Race 3'
Bobby has gone through a drastic transformation for the action thriller. He got himself a trainer and went on a strict Keto diet to get back to shape. Salman Khan knew that Bobby is looking for work and hence he got in touch with him for being part of 'Race 3'.
During a recent press meet, Bobby revealed that Salman Khan did not get him on board as he wanted to do a favour on him. Bobby explained that there was a fire that Salman saw in Bobby and hence he didn’t hesitate to cast him in the film.
On the other hand, 'Race 3' is directed by Remo D'Souza and the action flick also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor and Daisy Shah. 'Race 3' is all set for an Eid release on June 15, 2018.
Apart from this, Bobby Deol is lined up with projects like 'Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se' and 'Housefull 4.
Salman Khan's upcoming film 'Race 3' is one of the most anticipated films of this year. The makers have shot significant portions of the film in Kashmir.
As per reports, a segment of ‘Allah Duhai Hai’ was also shot at the scenic land of Kashmir. The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor today took to his social media account to express his gratitude of being able to shoot at Kashmir.
The actor wrote, “Thank you #Jammu & #Kashmir tourism for all the support and the wonderful experience for #Race3 .
Previously, Salman had shot in Jammu and Kashmir for 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. Directed by Remo D'Souza the action flick also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem, Anil Kapoor and Daisy Shah. 'Race 3' is all set for an Eid release on June 15, 2018.
On the other hand, Salman Khan is also lined up with 'Bharat' opposite Priyanka Chopra. The film will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and it is an official adaptation of a South Korean film titled 'Ode To My Father'. Produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, 'Bharat' will hit the screens on Eid 2019.
‘Race 3’, has the audiences’ pulse racing with its high octane stunts and intriguing story line. Daisy Shah, who essays the role of Sanjana, will reportedly be seen in a new avatar doing some adrenaline pumping action sequences.
Daisy’s daredevilry will apparently be one to watch out for in the movie. According to reports, in order to keep the sequences authentic and give depth to her character, the talented actor refused to use a body double for the action scenes. Daisy had to reportedly put in a lot of hard work to perform the stunts and had to undergo intensive training in mixed martial arts. The actress rigorously worked upon her flexibility and agility as her character was required to perform hand to hand combat.
Speaking about the same, director Remo D’souza said, “The hard work which Daisy has put in is clearly visible in the film. Audiences are going to see a very different version of Daisy Shah and they are going to love her.”
Race 3 to take Rs. 7 -10 crore hit due to pre-Eid release
The countdown has begun for the release of Race 3, with is undoubtedly one of the biggest films of the year. The action entertainer, starring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in lead is set to hit the big screen this Friday. While earlier Eid was expected to fall on June 15, 2018, i.e. release date of Race 3, now it is almost certain that the festival will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
As Eid has got pushed by a day, this will certainly dent the opening day collections of Race 3. Initially, the film was expected to collect more than Rs 40 crore on the opening day thereby emerging the biggest opener of all time; However, now the Pre-Eid period (I.e. Non-Holiday Release) will dent the opening day collections by approximately Rs 7 to 8 crore. Being the last Friday of Ramadan, the Muslim audience would not go to the cinema hall on Friday, and it is only on Saturday when the film would make use of its optimum capacity. The release scenario of Race 3 is very similar to Sultan, wherein Eid was predicted to fall on the release day of the film, but eventually got postponed by a day.
The collections of Race 3 will be majorly affected at Muslim dominated areas like Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad, West Bengal and Gujarat to name a few. Incidentally, these are also the centres where Salman Khan commands an extremely loyal fan base. The Opening Day business of Race 3 is now expected to be in the range of Rs 32 to 34 crore following which the film should collect approximately Rs 40 crore each on Saturday (Eid Day) and Sunday (Holiday). Considering the overall picture, the opening weekend of Race 3 is predicted to be in the range of Rs 110 to 115 crore depending on how well the film opens and how the response of the audience is. The 3D release will also boost the collections of Race 3 due to the enhanced ticket rates.
The main target audience for Race 3 are the masses and the theatrical trailer has got them excited for the film. In-fact, this would be the first Hindi film catering to the masses since the release of Baaghi 2 in March. Like all other action films starring Salman Khan in lead, the audience word of mouth would matter the most for Race 3, as that will decide the fate of the film in long run. Salman Khan commands a strong track record on Eid as in the last 8 years, he has delivered 6 Blockbusters i.e. Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. The Director, Remo D’Souza is confident that the film will be liked by the audience as he has presented Salman Khan in an avatar they like to see him in. Well, we shall get a clear picture about the audience response once the film releases this Friday.
