YAARA FULL HD MOVIE DOWNLOAD

Yaara movie cast: Vidyut Jammwal, Amit Sadh, Vijay Varma, Shruti Haasan, Ankur Vakil, Kenny Basumatary, Mohammed Ali Shah, Sanjay Mishra
Yaara movie director: Tigmanshu Dhulia
Yaara movie rating: Two stars

Friendship and betrayal is a long-running thread in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s films. Yaara, based on the 2011 French crime drama A Gang Story, gives us the story of four childhood pals and their journey through the murky world of gun-running, country liquor, and the shenanigans involved in buying and selling large tracts of land for profit. Given the director’s skills in this kind of set-up, Yaara, set in the 70s, should have been a uniformly fast-paced ride, studded with interesting performances, but it works only sporadically.

Part of the fun of watching Dhulia’s better movies is the way they put together a bunch of quirky characters, craggy locations and eye-popping intrigue. We see the foursome comprising the ‘chaukadi gang’, Phagun, Mitwa, Rizwan, Bahadur (Jammwal, Sadh, Varma, Basumatary respectively) hanging out, shooting the breeze when they are not shooting their way out of trouble, often dispensing with their shirts, so that their bare chests do the talking, and till they are in that initial stages of cementing their yaari-dosti, it’s all good.

Subsequently, the plot starts to meander, into dangerous Naxal territory, in which we see socially-conscious students of redbrick Delhi University colleges working off their privilege. This part of the film reminds you of that infinitely superior trek into the same terrain by Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. That’s the cue for Sukanya (Haasan) to show up, as a sympathiser-cum-activist, the weakest link in the film. It leads to a bulbous middle, and a twist which leads the way to a muddled third act, where the friends, now middle-aged, beards-flecked-with-grey, meet up again, and the body count piles up.

The only way to work a testosterone-laden, bullet-riddled sprawling desi Western-cum-crime saga, is to keep it believable. I’m quite happy to watch young men, drunk on the power of can-do-anything youth, swagger about, especially if they aren’t the overused, jaded stars Bollywood works with. But there needs to be more that they, and us, are given to work with. Yaara needed both more clarity and heft, to deliver on the promise it set out with.

EK VILLAIN sequel on the cards: Karan Johar joins hands with Ekta Kapoor for the second part of the romantic thriller

Considering the success the romantic thriller Ek Villain tasted in 2014, the makers were always keen on a sequel to it. And of course, media reports fuelled up further speculations about the second instalment. The latest on that front is that the sequel is indeed going to happen and this Karan Johar will be a part of it.

Our sources have it, that Karan Johar will be teaming up with Ekta Kapoor for an Ek Villain sequel. Furthermore, while Ekta will be a producer under her Balaji Motion Pictures banner like in the prequel, Karan will be presenting the film under his banner Dharma Productions. We hear that besides this, Mohit Suri will be directing the sequel too.

It is being said that the Ek Villain sequel is in its initial stages. The cast and the other details are yet to be finalized. The official announcement will be made once the scripting is finished.
On the other hand, a few months ago, we had reported that Sidharth Malhotra, Ekta Kapoor and Mohit Suri were coming together for a film. While rumours of it being a sequel to Ek Villain were denied, it was learnt that the said film will be a love story. While the leading lady wasn’t announced, sources had claimed that it was a small town love story with edgy characters. But there has been no progress about the film since then.
As for Ekta Kapoor, she is currently riding high on the success of her girl gang film Veere Di Wedding. The success of this film, featuring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in lead roles, was a light-hearted chick flick that opened doors for a new genre that is yet to be explored well in Bollywood.

Akshay Kumar is proud to present his next film Chumbak

Over the years, Akshay Kumar has produced quite a few films. However, it is his production company’s name that one finds on the credit detail. His name has traditionally never featured in the producer or presenter credits. However, he is making an exception to the rule with his next release Chumbak.

Chumbak is a heart-warming tale and once he saw the film, he immediately bought it. Now not just is his company name featuring as the producers, even his name is there right at the top as a presenter,” informs an insider.

“Akshay was mighty impressed once he saw the film,” the insider adds, “While he is acting in different films across varied genres which have appropriate budget allocated to them as per the stage, setting and need of the subject, Chumbak is a low budget Marathi film with no frills whatsoever. It is the story factor that did the trick for Akshay and he didn’t take much time to have his name associated with the film.”
Directed by Sandeep Modi, the film is produced by Aruna Bhatia, Naren Kumar & Cape of Good Films with Sujatha N Kumar & Shreni Modi as the co-producers. Kyra Kumar Kreations is the production house associated with Chumbak.
“Though Akshay is on his annual monsoon holiday currently, he is constantly monitoring the kind of response that Chumbak is generating. He wants to make sure that the film gets all the required eyeballs before it releases all over 27th July,” a close associate of the actor adds.
As for the film itself, Chumbak is the story of a 14-year table-cleaning waiter boy, Baalu, who decides to con people with an SMS lottery scam to fulfil his dream and escape his poverty. But the person he cons turns out to be a 45-year-old mentally slow villager, Prasanna, who is equally poor and in desperate need! Caught between his dreams and his conscience of conning such a man, Baalu will now have to make his choice. Chumbak is a story of these choices for Baalu and this chance encounter with Prasanna and this equally strange relationship between them that shall shape his life.

Student Of The Year 2: Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra to do a cameo in this Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday film?

Varun DhawanAlia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra were introduced in B-town with this much talked about Karan Johar directorial Student Of The Year. The film introduced Gen Y kids as debutants and taking the franchise ahead will be Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, albeit with a known face as the male lead – Tiger Shroff! Now we hear that the makers are keen on asking these seniors at St. Teresa to do a cameo in Student Of The Year 2.

For the uninitiated, Student Of The Year featured Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra as students of St. Teresa High School with Rishi Kapoor as their Dean. Now taking over the reign will be Samir Soni [after Rishi’s death in the prequel] with a new batch of students. Owing to the same, we hear that the makers including the director of SOTY 2, Punit Malhotra are planning to add a scene where the trio will hand over the baton to their juniors. While Tiger Shroff is said to be a part of it, it is yet to be seen if the girls, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria, too will share screen space in this sequence.

If reports are to be believed, the makers want it to be a song of sorts that will be incorporated at the beginning of the film. It will be a part of the credit sequence at the start of Student Of The Year 2. However, the location for the shoot is yet to decided. They will be finalizing a stadium or a lavish set that will be located in either Delhi or Mumbai.
As for the film Student Of The Year 2, it has been shot at varied locations like Dehradun and Pune. While the shoot scheduled at these two locations have completed, the location for the third one is yet to be locked. The third leg of the film is expected to start mid-July. The film is slated to release on November 23 this year.

From what it has been learned, Yash Raj Films has signed Akshay Kumar for their next massive venture which will be a period drama. The film will be directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Interestingly, Dr. Dwivedi essayed the role of Chanakya in the show with the same in the year 1991 which was also directed by him. YRF is now in the process of locking the rest of cast members including another A-lister who will essay the character of Chandragupta Maurya. The source further revealed the film is in pre-production as it will be a grand film. It will reportedly go on floors early February 2019 with huge sets mounted for the film. The makers are eyeing an early 2020 release.

While we wait for the official announcement from YRF, Akshay Kumar is clearly on a roll with another period drama as his next Kesari, with Dharma Productions, is also a period drama.
